I love this post. A little over a year ago I rescued a horse and shared her heart-wrenching story on Twitter. People were so in love with her and our bond that I made an Amazon wishlist of things for her I really needed and they bought every. Single. Item. For days, supplies like brushes and supplements and various things showed up at my doorsteps like gifts from above, easing the financial burden of caring for this horse. One person even sent me a brand new leather bridle - something I could not have afforded for her otherwise. When my beautiful, sweet horse passed away this year unexpectedly, I took all those donated items and use them for another rescue horse - I even let everyone who donated them to me know they are still being used on rescued horses. Every day I look at that bridle, those brushes, and feel so immensely grateful.
