Hey John! Such a great question — although I’d recommend reading the book to learn more ☺ but basically, fish as a category is scientific bunk. It isn’t a real category. But it’s a mundane distinction…basically the author uses it as a play on words. It’s like a linguistic trick. Fish exist, but calling them fish is incorrect terminology. It’s silly!
