Are you thankful for my thoughts? I’m saying you didn’t research your article thoroughly enough to write it in a way that isn’t condescending to a specific side of the issue. So what you have here is an article presenting a biased point of view, on a subject you seem to know very little about, and was written in a way that feels insulting to a marginalized minority group.

I highly recommend you refrain from writing about this or related subjects in the future until you understand how to better research this type of article. Also, being a member of the LGBTQ+ community does not give you a free pass to discriminate against other groups in the community.

As a writer (who I assume was) aiming for a nonbiased overview of an subject such as this, you have the responsibility to thoroughly research your topic and pay close attention to your language and biases. If you are going to write for the public, you need to own up to when you mess up. We are all responsible for the impact of our words, not just their intent. If you ever want to be a journalist of any kind, these are some lessons you will need to learn. I say this because if you don’t learn these lessons now, you are going to get yourself into some serious trouble with your readers. And not because of “differing opinions" or you’re “daring not to play it safe”, but because you are not writing well and you are contributing to prejudices against a minority group. The idea you are perpetuating biases against fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community should be enough to convince you to think hard about your writing and your purpose behind this piece. I hope you understand I say this out of genuine concern and hope you might take a little bit of it to heart in your future writing .
